KOSW RADIO AND NORTH BEACH TV TO BROADCAST 2024-25 NORTH BEACH HYAKS HOME BASKETBALL SLATE

KOSW Radio Sports Division and North Beach TV Cable Channel 68’s YouTube Channel to Carry Entire Hyaks Home Varsity Basketball Slate Over the Air and Online Streaming

OCEAN SHORES, WASHINGTON — December 1, 2024 — KOSW Radio 88.9 FM — The Voice of the North Beach Hyaks — along with North Beach TV Cable Channel 68 and its associated YouTube channel will carry the entire North Beach Hyaks varsity basketball home slate for the 2024-25 season, including the Holidays with the Hyaks tournament on Friday, December 27. Jerry Knaak, Noah Knaak, and Madison Crooks will call the action over the air on terrestrial radio, streaming on www.koswradio.com with video streamed on YouTube and tape-delayed on Channel 68. Jerry Knaak returns as play-by-play announcer, Noah Knaak will provide color commentary and analysis, and Madison Crooks is the sideline reporter.

Programming will include pregame, halftime, and postgame shows that include analysis and interviews with coaches, players, school officials, and administrators.

Jerry Knaak enters his third season as the play-by-play voice of North Beach Hyaks basketball and his first as KOSW sports director. He has also called play-by-play for Hyaks football for the past three years. Noah Knaak, who graduated with honors from North Beach High School in June 2024, is entering his second season as the color commentator for North Beach varsity boys and girls basketball. Madison Crooks, the North Beach High School Class of 2024 valedictorian, joined the KOSW broadcast team as the sideline reporter for football this past season and will continue in the same capacity for basketball. Crooks, a team manager for the varsity football team in 2023 and a multi-sport athlete at North Beach, will provide on-the-spot reports from the sidelines including injury updates, observations, interviews, and insights into what’s happening on the court.

Under the direction of new Head Coach Jordan Fry, the North Beach Hyaks boys varsity team tips off the 2024-25 season Monday at Pe Ell. The girls varsity squad, led by second-year Head Coach Dustin Wittstruck, opens their 2024-25 campaign Thursday at Oakville, with their home opener and season premiere of North Beach Sports Network’s coverage set for Friday at 6:00 p.m. PT, with the pregame show getting underway at 5:45 p.m. LIVE from Larry Moore’s House of Pain at North Beach High School in Ocean Shores.
